[[OOC: Nice little preview, the rest will come when I finish Rogue and the third one of that series. ;-) ]]

The Pioneer

The room was dark and uninhabited at the moment. The radio on the dresser, however, had been left on by the man who had left nearly ten hours ago.
“Still nothing from William Hamilton folks! What is the eccentric billionaire doing in there!? I sure don’t know! Does anybody know? He’s been in there for ten years!” yelled the radio newscaster, “When will he leave that big home of his and show us what he’s been doing?’

Suddenly, the door opened and a man that looked to be in his mid-forties ran into the room. A large unkempt beard marked his face and be looked like he hadn’t slept in days. His hair was down to his shoulders as well, and his fingernails had only been cut because they got in the way of his work. There was a smile behind the beard  as he ran and jumped around, celebrating. He then noticed that he had left the radio on and listened to hear that the subject was him. He smiled as the man went on about the project that he had spent ten years and the better half of three hundred billion dollars on. He continued, calling it a waste of time and going on about how nothing could be worth as much. He then realized that the reason of the man’s interest in him lies in the fact that it was his birthday, November 14th.
“Oh…it was worth it alright,” said Hamilton, “It was worth it…”
Hamilton had been born in the year 1911 to Richard and Mary Hamilton, Richard having been a steel tycoon out of Pittsburg; William inherited a large fortune from his death and converted it into something larger. With Hamilton Steel, Hamilton Electric, Hamilton Oil, Hamilton Aircraft, Hamilton Airlines, Hamilton Arms, Hamilton Pictures, Hamilton Motors, Hamilton Media, and Hamilton Communications under his control, he was the wealthiest man in history, and after World War II he had become a recluse. Most people thought that he had lost his marbles, but he had in fact had a thought, and that thought had become a reality. He would have to make an appearance…but he couldn’t tell the people what he had made. That would bring a lot of fear into their hearts and greed into others. He walked to his bathroom and searched through the drawers, finding a razor. He didn’t want to let a barber into his house, so he would do it himself. After shaving the large beard down nothing he began cutting his hair. It wasn’t as good as a professional, but it would suffice. When he was done, he took a shower, cleaning the filth and dirt of two week’s worth of work off of him. Then, he got dressed in an expensive black suit that hadn’t been worn in ten years. It didn’t fit him as well as it had, he was thin due to his lack of care for himself, but he would wear it none-the-less. He grabbed a black cane and walked out the door and down the stairs, he then got into a black sedan that was ten years old and drove off into a world that he had left behind a decade before.

20:14:29 Apr 10th 09 - Prince Validus Septim III:

I promised a few people that I would do a medieval after the Arkon series. Cidellus is more Roman than medieval, but it'll work. This will be done soon, have no worries. =)

and man...that was quick...O.O
